Shalloway & Shalloway are pleased to announce the publication of a new online blog dedicated to elder care. The law firm specializing in elder needs, special needs and family law is based in West Palm Beach, Florida and serves the entire Sunshine State. The new Elder Care Blog includes tips on topics ranging from health care and insurance questions for those over 65 to tips on helping one’s parents manage a move into a new home.
The state of Florida is home to one of the nation’s largest populations of retirees and those in need of some sort of health or nursing care. South Florida in particular is among one of the major population centers for those in their golden years. With the continued aging of the American population it is estimated that more than 88 million Americans will require some form of financial help once they retire. The burden and the pressures associated with health care, nursing, and living expenses often falls to the children of the elderly and their families.
Mark Shalloway, Founder of Shalloway & Shalloway explains the impetus for the Elder Care articles:
“I wanted to create an open resource providing valuable information and news on every topic under the sun concerning the care of the elderly. Many of my clients are people in their 40s and 50s caring for their parents and looking for clarity on things like insurance options and estate taxes. For younger people today, the task of caring for parents can be demanding both financially and psychologically.”
