Eagle Arts Academy, a kindergarten through 8th grade arts charter school in Wellington, Florida, is pleased to announce the addition of Michael A. Smith to its administrative staff. Mr. Smith will be the Assistant Principal and will offer guidance counseling services.
Michael A. Smith holds a Master of Education degree from Grand Canyon University in Educational Leadership, a Master of Science degree In School Guidance from Palm Beach Atlantic University, and a Bachelor of Organizational Management degree from Palm Beach Atlantic University. Mr. Smith also holds professional educator certifications in Educational Leadership (All Levels) School Guidance (All Levels), and English (5-9).
Executive Director, Gregory James Blount, describes Mr. Smith as a man who “believes in a holistic approach regarding education, “A philosophy of education based on the premise that each person finds identity, meaning, and purpose in life through connections to the community, to the natural world, and to humanitarian values such as compassion and peace.”
The stated mission of Eagle Arts Academy is “educate the whole child using a challenging 21st century curriculum that focuses on the arts.” The school is among one of the only truly arts-oriented educational institutions at the Elementary School level in the state of Florida and has received many awards. Its students go on to successful careers in the private sector and major universities across North America.
